Former Abbey of Grandselve

Lieu-dit Grandselve, 82600 Bouillac
The Cistercian Abbey of Grandselve was one of the largest in the South of France. Discover its history during a free guided tour.
The Cistercian Abbey of Grandselve dates back to 1114. It was one of the largest in the South of France. During the French Revolution, the first buildings began to be demolished and then sold. Today, only the gatehouse remains, bearing witness to the past grandeur of Grandselve.

An association, Les Amis de l'Abbaye de Grandselve, shares its history with you and introduces you to the lapidary museum with its famous tile collection.

During the summer period, you can enjoy Sunday openings reserved for guided tours. These tours take place on the abbey site (location of the buildings and museum). Led by volunteers from the Friends of Grandselve association, they start promptly at 3:00 PM.

For groups, tours are available year-round with reservation through the association's website:
06 10 16 39 34.
