The story begins in the 12th century with the arrival of Cistercian monks who built the Grandselve Abbey, the most influential in the Southwest of France during the Middle Ages. Today recognized as a protected designation of origin (PDO), the Saint-Sardos vineyard, located on the left bank of the Garonne River, spans 130 hectares of vines (110 of which are vinified at the cooperative).
